LANSDOWNE, Va. – December 9, 2008 – Fortress Technologies, a leading provider of secure wireless solutions, today announced that it has launched a certified training program to better enable organizations – both government and commercial – to establish and manage secure wireless networks. Fortress Certified Training will provide a comprehensive educational program that includes in-depth lectures, as well as hands-on lab work to practice creating secure wireless networks using Fortress products. Additionally, Fortress partners will be certified to sell, service, and support its solutions. “Properly establishing and managing a secure wireless network is not an easy task,” said Janet Kumpu, President, Fortress. “It requires a certain level of expertise that only individuals with real-world implementation experience can provide. Given Fortress’ extensive background in developing and delivering secure wireless networks for the most demanding mission-critical environments, it makes sense for us to share our knowledge. We are excited to offer industry best practices to the attendees during the Fortress Certified Training program.” A two-day course that costs $1,495, the Fortress Certified Training program is designed to help Fortress partners and customers:
“Fortress Certified Training is an intensive course,” said Matthew Collar, Director of Services and Support, Fortress. “As such, we are recommending that participants have a general understanding of network technologies/topologies, the OSI Reference Model, network device functionality, and security concepts, as well as an intermediate knowledge of Wireless Local Area Networking (WLAN) and RF fundamentals.”
